💻 Anthropic Manager Buried the Coding Interview in His Team

Felix Rieseberg, who led the development of Claude.ai and Cowork, announced in a post on October 27 that he removed the coding task from his team's hiring process. There is no replacement for the test yet: he reviews resumes and portfolios, looking for small prototypes with “taste, empathy, principled thinking.”

🌍 The coding task loses its meaning when Claude solves it better than the candidate. Google already allows Gemini in interviews, and Amazon is fighting “tokenmaxxing.” The decision is currently local, not Anthropic policy.

👤 Advice for juniors: don't grind LeetCode, but build a prototype for a company's business goal over the weekend. Anthropic example: two young engineers built a GUI for Claude Code over a weekend, and the public version was released 8 days later.
