🛠 Agility Robotics Unveils Digit 5 — A Humanoid Built for Close Proximity Work
On September 15, 2026, Agility Robotics introduced Digit 5, the fifth generation of its humanoid robot, designed for "cooperatively safe work" — operating in warehouses and manufacturing without protective barriers. The robot can lift up to 22.7 kg and operate for more than 20 hours a day: 90 minutes on a battery, 9-minute charge.
🌍 For the first time, a humanoid has passed an independent field assessment under OSHA standards on a customer's line and become the first partner on the NVIDIA Halos for Robotics platform on NVIDIA IGX Thor.
👤 Orders for Digit 5 have exceeded $300 million, the RoboFab factory is designed for 10,000 robots per year, and early access is expected in the first half of 2027: humanoids are heading to real warehouses, not demo videos.
