💬 AI Is Pushing Out Junior Jobs: Data From 94 Studies
Nassim Dechouch (Mahidol University) published a systematic review in Frontiers in Human Dynamics on May 7, following the PRISMA 2020 protocol: 94 studies were selected from 1,847 records, 42 with quantitative data. Entry- and mid-level job postings in software development and content in wealthy countries fell by 14–41% from 2022 to 2024 (median −23%).
🌍 Routine code and content creation is moving to models, companies are consolidating roles, and demand is growing in infrastructure, security, and QA. It is not workers who are becoming obsolete, but career paths and curricula.
👤 The premium for AI-augmentation skills is 15–22%, and for AI skills in OECD countries, growth from 2.1% to 4.8%. Check which tasks the model is already taking over and which have shifted to validating its results — and upskill in the latter.
