The ChatGPT Voice in Desktop voice mode (macOS/Windows), used to control Work and Codex agents, has been reduced to $0.05 per minute; for Business/Edu/Enterprise — 1.25 credits per minute. According to OpenAI, the same credits now yield approximately 2.4 times more minutes.

🌍 For the first time, the voice interface has noticeably become cheaper specifically for agentic scenarios. Voice dialogue minutes are billed separately, while task execution by an agent is billed at standard token rates for Work/Codex from the general budget.

👤 macOS and Windows users get about 2.4 times more voice minutes for the same credits. However, a task launched by voice consumes the general token budget, and the voice mode is not available via API.
