📱 Xiaomi Unveils AI Cube — a Competitor to NVIDIA DGX Spark

On August 24, Xiaomi introduced the AI Cube — a mini-PC prototype for running LLMs locally on three in-house XRING chips: O3, O100, and D100 (up to 160 GB of memory). It handles models from 3B to 120B at 150 W; no prices or dates have been announced.

🌍 Xiaomi is entering local AI machines on its own silicon. The O100's near-memory computing targets the main bottleneck of inference — memory bandwidth. If it is brought to market as a product, it will be the first non-American competitor to the DGX Spark (from $3,999).

👤 If the AI Cube hits the market, it will be a home server for LLM agents without the cloud or subscriptions: a 120B model plus a fast 3B model for routing. It is worth keeping an eye on the price and release date.
