💼 Robot dogs are replacing security guards in the US

According to Business Insider, American companies are replacing security guard shifts with autonomous robots. According to Asylon CEO Damon Henry, an annual contract for a robot dog with drones, software, and remote operators costs $120,000–$170,000, while a human shift costs approximately $250,000.

🌍 With annual turnover in security at ~89% versus 66% in the private sector and a salary of $38,390, security robotization has become consistently cheaper than human labor. Asylon has deployed ~50 robots for 25 clients, including Boston Dynamics at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

👤 One Asylon remote operator monitors 6–8 robots at different facilities. The robots complete ~90% of a standard patrol, leaving incidents and non-standard decisions to humans.
