🛠 NVIDIA Unveils Synthetic Video Detector NIM
At SIGGRAPH 2026, a microservice for detecting AI-generated video was presented. The system analyzes video frame-by-frame (504×504) using DINOv2 and DINOv3 models. Detection accuracy is 92% on uncompressed video and 82% with 50% compression. The tool runs on RTX systems at a speed of ~22 ms for a 1080p clip.
🌍 The emergence of content verification tooling helps combat deepfakes and increases trust in digital news. Integration with Wowza will allow for automated verification directly within live streaming.
👤 This is an important step in protecting against manipulation. Editors and streaming platforms will be able to instantly flag suspicious clips.
