💼 Anthropic Renames Claude's Top Tiers

On October 30, 2026, Anthropic simplified the names of Claude's top subscriptions: Max 5x ($100/mo) became simply Max, and Max 20x ($200/mo) became Ultra. Prices remain the same, and existing Max 20x subscribers have been automatically migrated to Ultra. The 5-hour limit has been removed for verified Ultra accounts: a weekly limit of 10× Pro remains.

🌍 The confusing Max 5x/20x multipliers are gone—they only described volume within 5-hour windows. Ultra has no hourly windows: long Claude Code sessions and background agents are no longer interrupted mid-work.

👤 If you had Max 20x, you are already on Ultra: nothing needs to be changed, and an email will arrive after automatic verification. Status is visible in Settings → Usage; new Ultra accounts will temporarily retain the 5-hour limit.
