🎨 Unitree Releases Action Movie Featuring Robot Bodyguard
On October 21, Unitree Robotics published a promotional video on X for the H2-X humanoid titled Kung Fu Legend Guardian: the robot punches car doors, jumps from a four-meter platform, performs backflips, stands between a person and an armed assailant, and lifts the front of a car to save a mannequin.
🌍 Unitree is shifting its humanoid marketing toward security and rescue, not just warehouses: the claimed ~8 hours of autonomy shown in the video is standing time, and commercialization is still in its early stages.
👤 For robotics engineers, this is an example of the gap between flashy promotion and proven autonomy: there is no data on whether the stunts are autonomous, and the price and sales date have not been announced.
