🛠 OpenAI DevDay 2026: Dots, Ultrafast, and GPT-6.1 Sol

At DevDay in San Francisco on September 29, OpenAI showcased more than 20 announcements. The main ones: always-on Dots agents on GPT-6 Astra with a cloud computer and access to 4,000+ apps, Ultrafast speed of up to 300 tokens/s, and the GPT-6.1 Sol model at $2 per 1M input tokens. Sign in with ChatGPT was launched — logging into third-party apps without an API key.

🌍 OpenAI is turning the ChatGPT subscription into a payment mechanism for external services: Sign in with ChatGPT deducts AI requests from Plus/Pro limits, while externally it offers the Agents API with computer use and the Decisions API based on Luna.

👤 Plus and Pro subscribers will be able to log into third-party apps via their ChatGPT account; at launch, there are 16 partners, including Devin, Notion, and Vercel. Dots and Ultrafast are only available in ChatGPT Pro 500 at $500/month and Business Premium.
