🔊 FireRed has released FireRedTTS3 — TTS with voice cloning in 24 languages
On August 13, 2026, the FireRed team released FireRedTTS3 (arXiv:2608.17492, Apache-2.0): Base — zero-shot cloning, including Russian and Ukrainian; Instruct — voice design via instructions and editing: word insertion/replacement/deletion, speed, pitch, volume.
🌍 According to the team, Base shows the best average metrics among the compared systems on Seed-TTS-eval and MiniMax-MLS-Test, outperforming CosyVoice3, Qwen3-TTS, and ElevenLabs. Open weights under Apache-2.0 are a direct competitor to closed APIs and a benchmark for open-source TTS.
👤 Russian is supported, weights are on Hugging Face, and there is an online demo — you can try it without installation. Nuance: normalization of numbers, dates, and currencies works only for Chinese and English; for full quality in Russian, LLM-based TN is connected.
