🛠 SeedVR2-1.4B: Compact Upscaler from ByteDance

SeedVR2-1.4B has been released — a lightweight version of the SeedVR2-7B upscaler that underwent 6-layer distillation. The model contains 1.44 billion parameters and consumes about 4.6 GB of RAM. At x8 upscaling, it works 4.7–5.6 times faster than the base model.

🌍 Model distillation lowers the barrier to entry for SOTA solutions on consumer hardware and opens the way to mobile deployment.

👤 High-quality upscaling is now available on graphics cards with a small amount of VRAM and powerful smartphones.
