⚛️ Laser Uranium Enrichment
Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) is developing laser uranium enrichment technology to process nuclear waste. Unlike traditional centrifuges, lasers selectively excite U-235 isotopes, which requires significantly less equipment.
🌍 The technology offers a cheaper and more compact alternative to centrifuges, allowing for the efficient use of accumulated nuclear waste stockpiles to create fuel (LEU) for modern reactors.
👤 This is an important step toward energy independence for the US and Europe, which could reduce the cost of nuclear energy and accelerate the transition to new types of reactors.
