Researchers from UC Berkeley have developed a system that analyzes ECG patterns to identify the risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). The model showed a mortality rate of 7% per year in the high-risk group, which is significantly higher than the 4.6% identified using current standards.

🌍 Shifting to the analysis of the heart's electrical stability using AI will allow for more accurate patient selection for defibrillator implantation and reduce the number of unnecessary surgeries.

👤 This will provide more accurate diagnostics during routine examinations (ECG), allowing doctors to prescribe monitoring or therapy in a timely manner.
