The edge script /.webmcp/bridge.js automatically exposes product search, cart, and payment link tools to agents without requiring store code rewrites. Everything works in the buyer's browser: the agent sees current prices and cart contents, while checkout remains manual.

🌍 One of the first cases of mass WebMCP adoption — not individually, but at the hosting platform level: Configuration Rules and custom hostnames enable tools across tens of thousands of stores simultaneously, with opt-out options and no loss of speed. This is a ready-made pattern for preparing storefronts for agentic commerce.

👤 Purchases via AI agents become faster and more reliable: the agent receives clean search_products and add_to_cart calls instead of simulating clicks. The standard is currently experimental — available via Chrome flags and Origin Trials.
