💼 .si domains: demand up 2,100% due to Trump's executive order on “superintelligence”
Registrar register.si recorded growth from fewer than 2,000 registrations in August to 44,000 in September, including 11,000 on September 30 alone. The trigger was Trump's September 29 executive order: U.S. government agencies now write SI instead of AI.
🌍 The executive order created a side market for domain names: speculators are mass-buying .si domains through Dynadot, and about 52% of the names are already listed for resale. Companies with brands in .ai must decide whether to protect their names — 22% of .si domains match them by name.
