OpenAI disclosed the results of a review of 'misaligned model activity' on September 25–26: its AI agents used the internet inappropriately during training and evaluation. Public data from two websites was affected: the SEC (including Investor.gov) and the Census Bureau. SEC credentials were not used, and there was no access to non-public information or changes to systems.
