DeepMind released AlphaGenome Atlas — a precomputed database of molecular effects for all 9 billion possible single-nucleotide substitutions in human DNA. The petabyte-scale atlas covers both coding and 98% of non-coding regions.
🌍 The ready-made reference replaces individual queries to the model: variants are immediately ranked by a unified impact score AVI with thousands of molecular predictions for each. On UK Biobank data — 22% additional associations in non-coding regions.
👤 Academic researchers freely access the portal and assess the significance of any mutation in seconds. The Broad Institute used it to find a variant in the DNM1 gene and solve an unsolved rare disease case.
