🤖 Anthropic Releases Claude Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1
This is one model with different levels of safeguards: Fable 5.1 is available on all platforms, while Mythos 5.1 is issued only through verified access for cybersecurity and biology. Rates remain the same ($10/$50 per million tokens), but cache reads have become cheaper, from $1 to $0.25.
🌍 Cache reads account for up to 65% of agent system bills, so a 75% price reduction lowers the cost of multi-step pipelines: according to Anthropic's measurements, this is about a 25% savings on standard tasks and up to about 45% on agent tasks. Cognition has already moved Devin to Fable 5.1. Benchmarks are vendor-provided, with no independent verification.
