In interviews with MIT Technology Review and Anyway Magazine, teens aged 10-18 from various U.S. states expressed indifference to AI hype and concern about AI's impact on the environment and critical thinking. A Pew survey (February 2026, 1,458 respondents): 57% use chatbots for search, 54% — for studying.
🌍 The generation raised with AI uses it pragmatically — 4 times more often for safe tasks. They doubt the effectiveness of AI in medicine and hiring.
👤 Teens want to "keep their hands on the wheel" — use AI as a tool, not replace their own decisions with it.
