💼 Google Studies Gemini's Economic Impact
Google has released the "AI and Economy ATLAS v1.0" report, based on an analysis of 15 million interactions with Gemini. The study shows that AI has reached 88% of jobs in the US, yet the depth of integration remains low: on average, only 21% of tasks in a typical profession are performed using AI. Most scenarios involve augmentation rather than full automation.
🌍 The report highlights the gap between widespread AI access and real productivity (the Solow paradox). For businesses, this means the primary potential currently lies in collaborative areas (drafting, ideation) rather than the complete replacement of employees.
👤 You can use AI as an assistant for routine tasks, but it does not yet replace full workflows. It is also important to consider the "language tax": using AI in a non-native language requires 18-20% more tokens and more iterations.
