💻 Splat Refraction in PlayCanvas
The PlayCanvas engine has implemented a refraction effect for scenes created using the Gaussian Splatting method. Users can place a Gaussian scene inside glass objects with adjustable settings for the index of refraction, reflection, and chromatic aberration. It works on WebGPU and WebGL.
🌍 This expands the possibilities for visualizing photorealistic 3D scenes on the web, adding complex optical effects to the Gaussian Splatting pipeline.
👤 It is now possible to create realistic and aesthetically complex interactive 3D scenes directly in the browser.
