🛡 Codeberg proposes banning predominantly AI-generated code
The Codeberg platform has introduced a proposal (Pull Request #1253) to expand its Terms of Use (ToU). The new rule would prohibit the publication of projects that consist predominantly of code generated by generative AI tools (including Claude and OpenAI Codex). This is due to the uncertain legal copyright status of such code.
