💻 FlipCTL — a graphical framework for embedded Linux systems
The Flipper Zero team has introduced FlipCTL — a solution for improving UX on small-screen devices (cyberdecks). The system works as a middleware layer that wraps CLI utilities into menus using headless WebKit over DRM to render HTML/JS-based interfaces.
🌍 FlipCTL offers a new approach to creating HMI (Human Machine Interface) for embedded devices, replacing heavy environments (GNOME/KDE) with a lightweight rendering layer directly via DRM.
👤 Now, any single-board computer (e.g., Raspberry Pi) or server can be turned into a device with a convenient physical interface for managing networks and system parameters.
